Tribute to Sriram

Dear all,
It is with great sadness that we inform you the demise of our beloved Sriram. Sriram was always cheerful and positive. He was a mentor for many of us that worked with him. He is survived by his wife and two daughters (12 and 7).
Sriram was involved in an unfortunate accident near Suwanee GA. His wife Sarnya Sekar, and him were heading to the local grocery store and were hit by a truck. Sriram suffered serious injuries to his head. His wife sustained minor injuries as well. He was rushed to a nearby hospital. He was immediately taken into surgery but died during surgery around 10 PM on 1/17/2019.
Sriram was the only earning member of the family and he was on a work visa. For many of us that understand this situation, his visa was up for renewal and the family members do not have stamping. His untimely demise puts the family not only under tremendous grief, but also under extreme pressure to wind up and relocate to India in just a few days as they will not be able to return to the US after the funeral.
We are putting together this Go Fund Me account to
1. Help Sriram's family move to India and settle down:
As soon as they move to India, they would need to arrange for a long term place to live, school admissions for children and some support for living expenses until Sriram's wife is able to get training and find a job.
2. Endowment for children's education:
Sriram loved his daughters very much and went to great extents to keep them happy. Also, we all know how expensive schooling and college is in India. The money that you donate would be used for creating an endowment fund to help support the education of his daughters currently as well as in future.
3. Settling any local debt / expenses:
While we expect that there is no local debt and the lease breakage and notice etc. will be taken care of by Sriram's company, we do not want the family to suffer silently in case of any urgent cash requirements locally.
Sriram’s wife Sarnya Sekar consulted a financial expert, who is also Sriram's relative and trusted adviser. Based on his advice, the money will be managed by investing in several low risk investments. The maturity periods for the investments will be timed to match primarily with the kids education needs. Smaller portions of the raised money will be used to help the family handle any current and near future expenses and also help Saranya, Sriram's wife get job related training.
We humbly request that you support this cause. Many of us could put ourselves in Sriram's shoes. In a split second his life lost and his family's life was turned upside down. While we can never replace what this family has lost, we are only trying to do our small bit to help this family overcome some of the financial troubles by extending our support.
