7 months ago, my life turned upside down when my amazing fiance was killed in a hit and run accident just 20 days before our wedding.
With the loss of an entire future, I had to step back and ask God what the next best steps would be. Then I remembered that when the tree of your life is wounded and severed, the only way to truly heal is to go back to the roots. One of my deepest roots (besides my faith in Christ), is my passion for dance. On what would have been our wedding day, I was handed a card that explained about Hillsong College in Australia. I was about to throw the card away when I turned it over and found a small section that read "worship dance stream.” Right then God began to open incredible doors that pointed to Hillsong in Australia. My heart had started, even just a bit, to breathe again.
The first semester of the Hillsong College Worship Dance stream starts January 31, 2019. The money I raise through your generous contributions will support an entire year of studying in Australia, pursuing my passion for dance and the beginning of my heart’s renewal. I am choosing to believe life holds more for me. I will graduate on December 2, 2019 (my birthday!), with a certificate to teach worship dance, which will pair amazingly with the undergraduate in elementary education and the minor in dance I already hold from Grand Canyon University (undergrad May 2018). Because this is something decided just recently, I hope to raise the needed funds by the end of November... but I am believing for much sooner!
