Hillary's campaign for CROESO LLANTWIT

Hey there wonderful people,
I'm Hillary, a 17 year old living in Wales going to UWC Atlantic College, and I've decided to shave my hair off for a local refugee charity called "Croeso Llantwit" .
Why am I shaving my head? Good question. One I will continue to ask myself before, during, and way long after I've done it. But the simple answer is: why not. Especially if I can use a simple act of "getting a haircut" to raise awareness and money about an issue which effects almost 26 million people in this world.
26 million refugees is a lot. A big number. And it will be incredibly challenging to help all of them. However, every little bit counts.
Croeso Llantwit is a local charity based in Llantwit Major in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, who are welcoming a refugee family to their community to start a new life. They have been working extremely hard to prepare, and will support the family in every way from job applications, to language courses, to schools, and healthcare, in order to set up a new life for them.
They need money to buy a house for the family to comfortably live in, which is why I am shaving my head to help fundraise. The family will arrive in January, and I will have the chance to meet them and see their new life take shape.
If every small community, like Llantwit Major, were to welcome a refugee family, the big number, 26 million, could quickly reduce. And if I can help this process by shaving my head, that is what I will do.

Additionally, all of my hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust which make wigs for youth affected by hair loss due to cancer.
