Hickory Ridge Farm Fund

Hickory Ridge Farm, located in the Hickory district of Chesapeake, Virginia, was struck by severe weather on April 6, 2017.  The storm caused a great deal of structural damage to the farm and has left several buildings, animal pens, and the children’s play area in need of rebuild. This fund will help the farm rebuild the numerous children’s play houses that were destroyed due to this severe weather, the main produce stand and cashier area, as well as the animal pens and storage areas. This is a farm that many in the community frequent daily to pick strawberries, enjoy hayrides, or just relax and let the kids have a good time.  The farm has planned its opening for customers to begin strawberry picking in mid-April.  The assistance provided will go to rebuilding this great family owned and family friendly farm and get it running for the 2017 season.  Any donation amount will go a long way to support reconstruction of this local family farm will help rebuild this cherished community place and help the farm prepare for its’ 2017 season.
