As many of you know Susan Lindsey, Rosecroft neighbor and east Charlotte activist, has been the driving force behind the July 4th parade for many years. She organized both the parade and the committee that produced it.
Susan recently passed away, after a courageous battle against cancer, and everyone believed that without her the parade would be cancelled. However, Councilman Matt Newton believes otherwise! This is an historical event, and this will be it's 50th year - quite a remarkable achievement, and Matt doesn't want to see something so incredible lapse into history. So, the parade is on!
We only have a couple of weeks and need a bunch of people with big hearts willing to give. Please, please, please donate whatever you possibly can. Let's do it for Susan. Don't let our parade die!
