In response to the horrific attack on a Synagogue yesterday in Jerusalem, we have launched a project to physically strengthen select Synagogues around Israel. These specific Synagogues are in pioneering communities. The residents are young and idealistic, but lack the necessary financial resources for the Synagogues and religious items they need and deserve. We have prepared lists of required improvements: installing more windows in one Synagogue ($750), better lighting in another ($1200), new walls and electrical wiring ($2000), a new entrance ($1200), a Ner Tamid (Eternal Light) in another ($350), new prayer books, chumashim (Bibles), and other holy books.
