Higher Heights Youth Empowerment Programs, Inc. (HHYEP) is a registered 501(c) (3) community-based college access program partnered with the National College Access Network. Our mission is to change the lives of under-represented college bound students to EMPOWER, ENCOURAGE, and EQUIP them to obtain a post-secondary education. All donations are tax deductible.

Founded in 2004, HHYEP provides college preparation services to high school students, grade 9 thru 12, and their families, throughout the New Haven and Fairfield Counties. Our services include college tours along the east coast, academic tutoring, SAT preparation class, individualized college counseling class for each high school grade level and workshops for parents.  We also have full time staff in two New Haven schools in addition to our after school program.
We are at a critical point in making sure that the doors of Higher Heights stay open.

Since 2004 we have built a positive reputation amongst our stakeholders and our parents and students are expecting us to continue our good work. An investment in the longevity of HHYEP is a direct investment in the 650 students and parents that we have already served and the hundreds of students and parents that we will continue to serve.

HHYEP has seen a 200% increase in the number of students who have enrolled in our program. We currently serve over 200 students and are projected to serve an additional 100 in the following year.  Now, more than ever, it is crucial for HHYEP to support students in our community and encourage them to not only stay in school, but further, to enroll and complete college.
· Our students have increased their SAT scores by 200-300 points

· 100% of Higher Heights high school participants graduate from high school

· 100% of Higher Heights high school participants enroll in college; including Yale University, Howard University, Spelman College, University of Connecticut, Clark Atlanta University and Southern Connecticut University to name a few.

· 80% of Higher Heights parents are active participants while their child is enrolled in the program.

Please consider making a donation now to our Annual Campaign to support our students and families!
