Support Lacey's battle with cancer!
Lacey is a beautiful strong mother who is battling Stage 3 Melanoma Cancer. She has had 3 surgeries and is on her 4th round of treatments while still working full time. This round of treatments are taking a toll on her and we want her to be able to take time off when sick without worries about how she will pay her bills. We are doing this for her as she would never ask for help, but is always there to help others. PLEASE, PLEASE help us help her!!! We can't cure her cancer and I wish we could but maybe we can help her with less stress. If you can't donate please say a prayer for her! God Bless You! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts in advance!
Lacey had a smile that infected everyone, she never had a bad word about anyone, and always looked for the positive. Her laugh would put a smile on your face, I can hear it now as I write. She enjoyed life, her daughter was her world, and family and friends meant everything.
She loved what she did, and loved working at Famous Dave's and being part of this family, no matter what the shift brought she never had a bad word, or bad attitude, she helped everyone, made people smile, and loved her guests, she touched the hearts of so many regulars that became her friends. She is what "Famous" stands for.
I Thank the lord everyday for bringing Lacey into my life, giving me such a good friend, showing me how to be courageous, grateful and humble. She listened and cared, supported and loved, and we laughed. I told her everyday how beautiful she was, and we were going to beat this. But in the end the Lord had other plans, bigger plans for her. We may not understand them, it will take time, but I know our "Famous Lacey Lovely" is now our Guardian Angel. She is in the best place, no more pain, sickness or cancer. She is with all of us in spirit now, guiding us, helping us to be "Famous", and protecting us.
She will always be on the shoulder of her 3 year old daughter Ryla, to protect her and guide her through life, and I ask everyone to keep Ryla in their prayers everyday as she grows up. We are a family at Famous Dave's and we need to take care of our own.
Lacey was a 7 year employee, she leaves behind her fiance' Ryan Cline, Daughter Ryla, two step daughters. Her mom Denise, Step-dad, two sisters, a brother, a niece, her grandparents on her mothers side and her grandma Bonnie, her dads mom. Several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Her father passed away in August.
This is a reminder that our time on this earth is short and unknown, we need to be kind to one another and make sure that our loved ones know how much we love them.
Rest in Peace my dear friend Lacey
-infection counts still rising,so more tests being done to look for infection. She has no fever though.
-was going to get temporary tube into abdomen so able to drain fluid whenever, but unable because of concern of infection. So today they are going to do another one time paracentesis to drain fluid, but also look at for any signs of infection inside her abdomen.
-going to give her concentrated albumin in her IV to help draw fluid out of legs, chest wall, abdomen and put it back into veins and to kidneys
-pain medicine back on IV as was puking up oral meds yesterday.
-special air bed to protect skin as isn't moving much.
-still very sleepy, but will "hello" and "goodbye" visitors. So thanks for all who have stopped by or sent their greetingsðð»
-her desire is to keep fighting with all she has. So we keep supporting her decision and pray for wisdom, healing and comfort.
-fluid is back to abdomen;doctor is ordering a tube be placed so fluid can be drained as needed, but this increases risk of infection and protein loss. And may prohibit more "chemo" treatments, but hopefully will help with comfort.
-kidney function is worsening; trying to find happy balance of trying to get rid of fluid and yet not dry out kidneys. May add albumin to her blood to try to draw fluid out of her legs and tissues to her kidneys and try to help this but not certain if anything will help.
-tests for infection increasing: so cultures of her blood and urine are being done.
-Dr this AM said they will keep trying but there may not be anything they can do to stop the melanoma's progression on her body.
