Shea's Amazing Track Opportunity
Donation protected
Shea-Lynn Gioia is a 16 year old highschool student in Sault Ste Marie, ON.
Shea is an extremely dedicated athlete who has, in the past found herself a place on the Team Ontario Basketball Team, Provincial Track Teams as well as competing at the CrossFit Games in California.
She is an avid basketball player and a returning CrossFit athlete, but her true love is Track and Field.
Her first performance, competing in high school track landed her 1st in 200m, 1st in high jump, 2nd 100m, 1st in 4x100m relay and 1st in 4x200m relay.
She went on to NOSSA and won high jump and 200m. Next was OFSSA, where she tied for 2nd with a few girls in high jump.
Shea then participated in the legion track and field program where she turned in a 3rd in 200m, 1st in high jump and setting a Legion Track record with her first running long jump, putting her in first. She was then offered a spot on the provincial team where she was ranked 2nd in Ontario for running long jump.
Shea-Lynn has recently been contacted by a Track and Field program in the Toronto area. They have offered to help train her for the upcoming track season as they were very impressed with her performance last year.
As many of you know Sault Ste Marie does not offer any Track and Field programs outside of the schools. We also have an old outdated track for the kids to try and train on.
This is a huge opportinuty that Shea-Lynn would love to participate in, but is looking for some assistance as she would be needing to travel frequenty to Toronto to train.
These opportinities can also lead into University Scholarships so it is very important for her to get trained and be seen.
Thank you in advance to everyone willing to help her succeed.
