Family, friends and generous contributors -

Jennifer Jennings is a 41 year old, loving Mother of four amazing children ages 20, 12, 10, and 8; a wife, daughter, sister, and friend to many.  Her life took a sudden turn last month, August 2018, when she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of stage 3C Breast Cancer ( Triple negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.)  The tumor is aggressive, very large in her left breast and has spread to her lymph nodes, muscle and chest wall which makes her inoperable currently.  A team of doctors have come up with a plan urging her to immediately start chemo therapy to shrink the tumor enough so that they are able to perform a full mastectomy, after which she will continue with more chemo therapy paired with radiation.  This came as a complete shock to their entire family.  Since Jenn’s diagnosis two weeks ago, this has been a full time job for the both her and her husband.  It’s very overwhelming and emotional, especially trying to stay strong and reassure the kids mommy will be alright.  The children and family haven’t had time to “let it sink in” as this leaves them with a lot of uncertainty about what life has in store for the future.  As many of you know Jenn’s mother was diagnosed and eventually passed away from cancer.  Jenn started her first round of chemo today and could use all the prayers, love and support you have to offer.  Her normal daily thoughts and stresses of ‘what’s for dinner, who do I drop off and where do I pick up..’ has become who’s going to pack the lunches, do the drop off’s, pickups for my three girls and how will I manage to put food in the fridge and dinner on the table, all while fighting for my life.  For those of you who know Jenn, you know that she is an amazing human being.  She is fun, loving, unbelievably strong and one of the most selfless people I know and always puts her family and friends before herself.  The emotional and financial burden of surviving breast cancer is going to be a challenge for Jenn and her family, to say the least.  At this age, with four children and being completely out of work, this is going to impose a financial hardship on this family.  This is where all of us and this GoFundMe come in.  The medical bills will continue to add up, and the household bills will too.  We are reaching out to our amazing and supportive network of family and friends to help, in any way possible, to lighten the financial load of this tragedy.  Also, to show support we will be having a Rally gathering at O’NEILL’S IRISH PUB in San Mateo on October ___(Date TBD) from 3:00PM - 6:00PM. Please join us for food, drinks, music and fun.
