Two years ago, I sat across a table from one of the most courageous people I have ever met and I learned that I had a brother. Although I had known for a while, I sat in silence and was amazed at the absolute bravery before sitting before me as he detailed the feelings and thoughts he had been living with - trapped inside his head, and trapped in a body that didn’t belong to him. I loved him even more.
Taylor and his girlfriend, Shari are two of the most amazing, powerful and uplifting people you could ever have the honor of calling friends or family. They are generous and loving and will always help those in need without hesitation. Through rescuing broken animals, and bringing them into their little zoo, to building equipment packs for the homeless and less fortunate so that could survive winter they have never asked for anything in return but love, and hopes to make the world a better, safer, brighter place for their daughter, and everyone else around them to live in.
Over a year ago they lost everything to a random neighborhood flood and have been rebuilding their lives from the ground up and have remained as upbeat and positive as they always been. They continue everyday to be a beacon of light in some of the darkest times this nation has seen.
Their family has been fundraising and saving to be able to afford the body that Taylor deserves. $3,500 seems like a lot of money but through love and community we can match their personal goal, and maybe more. This campaign is designated to provide half the funds necessary for travel, housing accommodations and his much needed top surgery itself. I believe in this man whole heartedly and the love he has to offer. Let us come together and show him the love and support he unconditionally shows the world.
