Travis Swope, well known owner of Two Felons Skate Shop in Whittier, California, was involved in a devestating motorcycle accident on Thursday October 23rd. During the initial ER visit, it was believed he had a broken leg and some scrapes and bumps. After several X-Rays, CAT scans, and an MRI, it was revealed that he dislocated, broke, and detached ligaments in his right shoulder. There was also extensive damage to his left leg where he shattered the bones from the knee to the ankle. Travis has been in the trauma unit of UCI and has gone under three surgeries to date. His shoulder is immobilized for a minimum period of six weeks. He is not expected to have the ability to walk for nine months. He's required to have daily pain management and physical therapy for the next year.

Travis Swope is a small business owner, husband, and father of five. Travis is often involved in the community. He has helped raise a neighborhood through his skate board shop. Travis has mentored dozens of graduating seniors in the area as well. Travis has helped several charitable organizations, raised funds, as well as many individuals in the past. Travis is loyal and devoted. The type of friend that would give you the shirt off his back. Being a self-employed small business owner, his insurance program leaves him responsible up to 3000 dollars per month of his medical expenses. To date, his medical bills are around a half million dollars. With treatment anywhere from six months to a year, there is no way to calculate his expected out of pocket expenses. Travis's wife Jane already works two jobs. Neither of which has medical coverage. Picking anymore work would keep her from time to take care of the children or help take care of Travis in his time of need.
