Hercules Road to Recovery

Donation protected
On Wednesday May 2nd, Hercules, a stray cat at a high kill shelter in Rowan County NC, was given another chance at life when he was pulled out of the shelter on the first day of his very short two day “expiration” date given by the shelter. Hercules captured the hearts of people all over the world with his broken spirit sitting in a cage in a fight against time. In a last minute effort, people pulled together with funds, transport help and eventually organized his move from NC to Baltimore where he is now with his forever mom, Kimberly.

We didn’t know the extent of his needs but we knew he couldn’t be left there. Kimberly has since taken him to the vet to discover he is not out of the woods yet. His first vet visit, totaling $286 for the initial visit, has told us he has shown positive traces of FIV. In addition to extra testing to determine his overall blood work, he is covered in wounds, has fleas, worms, double ear infections and is scheduled to be neutered next week and will require a few check ups to ensure he is healing the way he should. Kimberly has already done so much by stepping up and jumping in the car to drive from Maryland to NC in one day just to save him - let’s help lighten her load by helping cover some of his expenses.

Hercules is VERY shaken up and  slow to trust which leads us to believe he’s never known a humans love before. Let’s show them both how thankful we are to change that for his future!
