Hemlock's Gray Matter Robotics 2019

Hemlock's Gray Matter Robotics Team: 5712 - The team is on their way to the World Championship at Cobo Hall & Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. This event will take place from April 24-27, 2019. We need your help. Registration fees for this event are $5,000. Students are helping to cover the costs of hotel and food. We are currently ranked 52 out of 542 teams.
In addition to having an amazing robot this year, we have been able to share our robot and the student's involvement in many ways. We have been seen at the Farmer's Market, Saginaw Spirit Robotics Game, Lions Club, and were proud to have some of our high school students become mentors for our Middle School.
Our Robotics K-12 is continuing to grow. We have amazing mentors that help to provide guidance and a great learning experience for our students. There are four FIRST Lego League Jr. teams,two FIRST Lego League teams, and two FIRST Tech Challenge teams. And finally, we have our FIRST Robotics Competition team, Gray Matter, in the high school.
We are currently writing grants for a potential Hemlock Area STEM Center that will allow us to have all of our teams in one area. We plan on sharing the barn with Freeland, Swan Valley, St. Charles, and Merrill. This would allow us to work with other teams in our surrounding area.
Our team appreciates any funding we receive. The funds will help us pay for our trip to the World Championship in Detroit.
