Apartment Flooding / Work Flood

My name is Alexandria Stratton, on July 1st, 2018, Des Moines Iowa and surrounding areas had a major flood. We (My Boyfriend and I) had 10 plus inches of rain. I was living in Ankeny Iowa at the time which is a suburb. The apartment complex on the lower level I lived in flooded in. We lost our furniture, (chairs and beds and some electronics). Our landlord did not give us our deposit back and caused me $127 in bank fees from charge-back fees (he gave us our deposit and then demanded it back after I cashed it)
We sadly didn't have renters insurance. We had to use our rent money to buy lodging for a week and supplies such as food and other things.
We have applied for assistance through Polk County which issued a Natural disaster grant, but there are many other people applying too. With the help of family, we were able to have a place to live but we have no money for furniture or any other supplies that we need. We have no beds either.
I am the sole provider in my family and I am barely making it as it is (I am in a new career starting from the bottom) We didn't have an extra back up or help when it comes to furniture or anything (food, supplies, besides what the Red Cross Gave us). If you can help us with any sort of donation to help us purchase new furniture or whatever else we can use.
We have to purchase new everything sadly, food and much more. Currently, right now I do not receive state assistance as I am waiting on the state of Iowa to decide if I will receive any help. In the last month, I have fallen at work and I lost my uncle to due to lung cancer. This just
We are living off what use my emergency money to purchase necessities. If you can help in any way that would be helpful. I really appreciate it, this has been the roughest of my year.
