In Need of Help

Donation protected

On Sept 25th, Kris began working for a local factory thru a temp service. He was told he'd be paid $11/hr weekly. He has been working 12 hr shifts 4 days a week since. He was supposed to be paid on the 6th of Oct. On the 4th he received a debit pay card. They told him his first check would be paper and sent on the 5th to be received Fri or Saturday at the latest. After his first check, the following ones would be deposited onto the card. The 7th came and passed, no check. We knew they didn't have a wrong address since we received the pay card. So on Monday, the 9th, we called the temp service all morning with no answer or returned call. Finally, late afternoon we spoke to a recruiter and he informed us that the check had been sent out late and we should receive it by Tuesday, the 10th. We were also told that if we did not receive the check that it would be cancelled and he would be double-paid on Wed on the pay card. We did not receive the check in the mail on the 9th. He has tried to get the card activated and has been told the card is "closed" and cannot be activated until further steps have been taken by the temp service. We have called the temp service all morning as of today, Wednesday Oct 11, to no answer or response to emails. Since he is not yet hired on thru the company itself, the factory does not care and has no responsibility to pay us. We are 11 days past rent being due. Our landlord has worked with us thus far, but expects a payment this week. As of August, after the birth of our daughter, I have been breastfeeding. So in Sept I went back to work, but only 2 days a week due to my feeding schedule and Kris' work schedule. I have been able to pay our electric bill, for groceries and gas. But we now have no cash, no food and less than a quarter tank of gas. Due to our generous baby shower, we have not had to buy diapers yet. However, we are finally out of wipes. We are on our last pack of wipes. As a mother, all of this is embarrassing. I don't want to have to ask for help, but I have no choice. I am facing eviction and just trying to feed my family. Any help you can give would be so appreciate. Even if you cannot donate, a share would be so appreciated. Thank you... from my family to you and yours.
