The Passey's need your love!

$10,225 of $7,500 goal

My parents have always had a big heart, but now their hearts are broken. Easter weekend, their 12 year old son, ( my brother) was diagnosed with a brainstem tumor. (DIPG)
The outcome is grim, and the tears are flowing.
Please consider making a donation to help lift the financial burden of traveling to and from treatments, as they will be a few hours from home.

Many dear friends have asked where to send flowers. In lieu of flowers, you might consider the following:
We have been thinking about collecting money to renovate a room for parents, here at the hospital that took care of Reagan in his final days. Currently in the PICU, there is no where for parents to shower or to have a minute away from the stress of their child's hospital room. After spending nearly a week in the hospital, we really saw the need for such a room. We know its a large under taking, but how amazing would it be to have a room named in Reagan's honor, to help ease the burden of parents with sick children who have lengthy hospital stays?
If any of your are intersted in helping, let us know. We hope to have an account set up soon, as GoFundMe does take a % of all money collected.
Thanks again for all of your kind thoughts, prayers, phone calls, and acts of service.

Reagan passed away this morning, holding his parents hands and surrounded by his siblings, exactly 7 months from the day he was diagnosed.
He was a light in our lives, and to say he will be missed is an understatement.
Reagan loved science and to learn, and teach... One of his final wishes was to allow his body and tumor to be used for research in hopes that one day there might be a cure for DIPG. Our parents have chosen to honor his wishes. What a brave, selfless little boy.

We are planning a memorial for Saturday. We'll have more details soon.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts for all of the love, support and prayers throughout this 7 month journey, and in the days to come. You are all answers to prayers, and we are humbled by your generosity and acts of service. We know that God lives, and that our Savior lives, that through his Atonement we will find the peace and comfort we need in the days to come. We will see Reagan again, and look forward to that day.

11/2 Update: Reagan doesn't have much longer. We've been told to stay close. He is no longer aware of his surroundings, but looks peaceful aside from his labored breathing. As far as we can tell he is not in pain. Yesterday Reagan was visited by two of his friends. What a sweet, yet hearbreaking experience it was to see these young boys express their gratitude for Reagan's frienship, and to say goodbye..... I will never forget it. I was so touched.
We're so grateful for those who have reached out, for the visits, and expressions of love, and for the meals being sent to Mom and Dad's. Thank you for the prayers, for loving Reagan, and letting us know you care.

Update: 10/29 Reagan has now been transitioned to the hospital for end of life care. Its been a frustrating transition with the lack of communication between Reagan's hospice doctor and the doctor in the PICU. As it turns out, this PICU is being transitioned into a pediatric hospice wing and not all the Dr's and nurses on staff here have been informed. Needless to say, an already stressful situation has been amplified, not made easier. After speaking with the head doctor, Mom is confident that future families will benefit from the things learned during this transition.
For now Reagan is resting. He is surrounded by family. There's just no telling how much longer we have with him....
