IV Wagons for kids at the hospital



Hi! My name is Nicole Shaheen and I am a senior in high school, and also an Ambassador Girl Scout. For the past year I have been working on my Girl Scout Gold Award, which is the highest award a Girl Scout can receive. The Gold Award is basically like the Eagle Scout, but for girls. For my project, I decided to save money to purchase wagons that have IV's attached to them from the WunderWorksUSA company. These will be very convenient for the children since they never get to leave their hospital rooms. Not only will they keep the children healthy with the IVS, but they will be fun, as well! The carts are carved and shaped like many animals, which make them more enjoyable for the kids to be in. So far, from organizing a Dance Camp for 40 Girl Scouts in the city, I raised around $2,000. However, my goal is to donate 5 wagons to the hospital, which would be a total cost of $5,000. I sent out letters to people all over the city of El Paso, all over the country as well, hoping to get donations. Even $5 would help me make these kids happier and it would be greatly appreciated if you decide to help! This Gold Award would change a child's experience while they're in the hospital, and it's a privilege to be helping.
