Help Save The Rockery

Help Save The Rockery!
Over the past five years, The Rockery has been a vital hub for the DIY music and art scene in the downriver area. They've had bands from as far away as Japan, Brazil, Germany, Norway, Ireland, and Canada play there in addition to numerous bands from almost every state in the U.S. A.  All these bands have been supported by a faithful music scene and a huge number of local bands. Every style of music has been played there; Punk, Metal, Folk, Jazz, Prog and a few that defy description. In addition to the music, The Rockery has fostered a vibrant visual art scene, giving a great number of local artists access to their first art shows and a stepping stone to greater exposure in the Detroit arts community. The Rockery has also often raised funds for various charities such as Toys For Tots, The Michigan Humane Society, One Warm Coat and Hurricane Relief. There is no other venue so connected with its patrons in the area. Without them one of the few venues for art and music in the area will become just a memory.

Unfortunately, the current owners are looking to sell to a buyer who would have the place ripped down and paved over for a parking lot. To prevent this from happening, Justin and Ian are looking to buy the bar. Your donation can make that a reality.

If you care about The Rockery, if you've played music here, if you've shown art here, if you've danced, drank and formed friendships here, please help Justin and Ian raise the deposit to buy The Rockery and keep it in the hands of people who care about our scene.

Thanks!
