Rich's Testicular Cancer Fund

Donation protected
This funding is to help out a friend, father, brother and overall good person in a bad place, cancer, stage 3 (final stage). June of 2016 Rich Clark found out news that would forever change his life, the life of his family and all those around him.

Brief history on Rich. He owns a computer/cellular/electronics repair shop in Batavia NY, CPR (Computer and Phone Repair), this is his pride and joy. CPR has been open for 5 years, Rich and his staff have worked extremely hard to make it the highest rated shop in the tri county area. Rich always told his customers, "We are here to help, it's our job to know how to fix your problems, not yours.", another common phrase around his shop is, "There are no stupid questions, if you are learning, then I am doing my job". Rich and the staff he trained has always gone out of their way to help every single person who came them for help and we are hoping that will help come back to him 10 fold.

Early June of 2016 Rich was having some pains in his stomach and ended up at Strong in Rochester, NY. After many more tests and blood work he was finally told that sadly he would need to have his left testical removed (cancer ridden) and there was another very large mass (8cm) in his stomach that was/is pushing on the veins attached to the kidney and bladder and his aorta vein. This tumor was/is causing his kidney to swell and not be able to drain correctly. Surgery, a stent and a few days later he gets the news he was waiting on, he has late stage cancer.

Rich was diagnosed with Stage 3 (final stage) testicular cancer that has spread to his lymph nodes and kidney area on June 20th 2016. Starting June 24th Rich will be doing Chemotherapy, this is going to be done as an "inpatient" procedure and he will be hospitalized for 6 days at a time. This has to be done every 3 weeks, so 1 week in the hospital and 2 weeks home (with many doctors appointments during this time) and then back to the hospital again for another 6 days.  Rich will need to be hospitalized, to get the recommended treatment, for a total of 24 days over a 12 week period in order to do the chemo that the cancer institute has ordered. Once the chemo is completed the goal is to remove the remaining tumor from his stomach and he is cancer free, this is our hope and dream! He will have to have another surgery to remove the hopefully shrunken tumor from his stomach.

Reading this as many of you do the math, Rich will be out of work at his own company for 5-10 Months with surgery recovery time and chemo. No income, no disability, nothing. Rich is depending on his awesome staff to keep everything afloat at the store and he is confident that they will, but as far as his personal income, bills for the house and everything else that goes along with it is the main reason for starting this GoFundMe.

We are hoping that we can meet and exceed our goal here. We know that our number is up there but we are trying to take into account all the expenses that are coming his way. Between medicine, hospital bills, fuel, tolls, hotel stays for his wife and child, food, missing work, etc, you can all see how this is going to add up fast and with little to no earned income coming from his business things are going to get tight quickly.

Please share this with anyone who knows Rich or anyone who has ever come into his store and gotten free advice. Rich is a proud father of a 6 year old boy, Jonas, who attends Rochester School for the Deaf. Let’s help him see his son graduate and live his life before this world takes Rich away from it!

We want to thank you all for reading this long request for funding and hope you have it in your hearts (and pocket books) to help this man out, he never asks anything from anybody but is the first one to help his fellow man and trust everyone who he meets til they give him problems. Please let's do this for their family and lives! Let's break records for medical funding! Thank you all again for the support and we will be posting his condition updates as they come to us.

Thank you again and feel free to ask any questions you might have regarding testicular cancer and/or Rich’s condition and we will do our best to answer.
