Fighting Cancer, Saul Needs Help

Donation protected

****UPDATE****
2/4/19

So by now you have read that I recently went Into remission.
Now remission for my type of cancer (Multiple Myeloma) does not mean I am out of the woods.
There is no cure for my disease, but with treatment, a continued change in diet and habits, I can live in remission for years.
Cancer will always be a part of my daily life.
There is no going back at this point.
I have to reorganize my life, figure out what I can do for a living without causing unnecessary stress and continue to live each day like it’s my last.
For weeks I have been waiting for Insurance and the Pharmaceutical company to determine what help and cost will be covered.
Today I was told that at a minimum they would cover 50% of the cost for the daily meds I need and the Pharmaceutical company offered a 30% discount, leaving me with 20 % of the cost.
A 28 day supply cost $16800.00 that’s $600 per pill and that’s at a reduced price.
My 20% comes out to $3360.
I need to cover this first months while
I have appealed there decision but that could take months.
Cancer is truly a business for these organizations.
Help me raise this months funds so I can start to take my meds and hopefully continue to improve.
God bless

“Original Post”
The past few years have been a roller coaster ride.Fighting and beating cancer, not once but twice. Something I could not have done without the support from all of you.
I have been in remission from the Lymphoma for about 100 days, pushing myself daily to feel better.
The stress of life after cancer became surreal, so much that when I started to feel ill again, I refused to believe that the cancer could return.
Financially, physically and emotionally it has not been easy, but I have taken strides to move on with my life getting married and returning to my music which have been the two things that have kept me on track.
But last week after several blood tests and a bone density tests it was discovered that the cancer is still lingering in my system.
Doctors have diagnosed me with Plasma Cell Neoplasms Hypercalcemia caused by Multiple Myeloma Stage 2.
The good news is that it has been caught early enough to treat and possibly reverse the damage that has been done.
I will have to start High dose Chemotherapy with stem cell transplant , Targeted Therapy with certain drugs and immunomodulator Biologic Therapy.
Luckily I have been able to maintain health insurance but it will only cover a portion (50%) of the treatment needed to keep me alive and possibly save my life.
So I need everyone’s help !!!!!
With some help from friends in the medical field and researching several options I have been able to get Patient Assistance from the drug manufacturers in the form of  a Co-Pay Program.
Helping by only paying $25.00 - $50.00 per dose out of pocket cost as a copay instead of the thousands of dollars for these meds.
There are limits & requirements that I have to meet and there is a maximum benefit of $10,000 or $20,000 per patient, per calendar year.
Since these meds are very expensive, it only provides coverage for a limited amount of cycles or treatments.
As of now, I have three cycles each consisting of 28 days, and seven different meds.
the first cycle starts on 8/10 -9/7, cycle #2 9/9 - 10/6 & cycle #3 10/8 - 11/4.
Each cycle has an approximate copay cost of $4400.00, in addition there are Doctor office visits copays, daily meds like insulin, BP meds, Pain meds, and Insurance premiums that have to get paid.
Cancer and all of the treatments have made it difficult for me to get gainful employment and pay for the day to day cost of living.

I ask for everyone who can to first keep me in your prayers, and if your able to donate to help me cover these medical costs and help me beat cancer.

God Bless you all

Saul
