WHO? Help-Portrait is a group of photographers, hair & make-up artists, creatives and volunteers who donate our time to put smiles on other people's faces. Each year, our organization holds a world-wide day of good where we photograph and share images.
WHY? Help-Portrait does this as a way to give the gift of worth. A picture creates a visual reminder of just how worthy a person is in this world. It puts smiles on faces, shines a new light on participants and can spark something new to come out of that session.
FOR WHOM? This year, we will be blessing active military and veteran families from the Minneapolis/St. Paul and greater MN areas.
WHAT? Participants may bring their families or enjoy individual photos. When they arrive, they are offered hair and make-up services. From there, participants work with a photographer against a backdrop for 15 minutes. Once the session is complete, they'll receive a disk of edited images that may be printed at a choice of photo lab. They’ll also receive one 5x7 print in a frame to display immediately!
COST? Help-Portrait is a free event for participants. Volunteers give their time, skills and use of equipment, but there are costs such as frames, photo paper, ink, makeup and general supplies. We are raising money for these items.
