Lefty's Live Music Building Fund

Lefty's is a Live Music Venue in Des Moines Iowa, located at the former home of Hairy Mary's and Safari Club in the Drake neighborhood, 2307 University Ave.  Following in the rich tradition of those hallowed venues, Lefty's will carry the torch of Iowa music.  Programming no less than 4 nights a week will also allow us to reach all genres and varieties of performing arts.  We will provide a support system to the local arts community as well as regional and national.  With a 300+ capacity room Lefty's will look to establish itself as a premiere destination for professional musicians around the world.    Superior sound, acoustics, and atmosphere will be our focus.  The brainchild of Anne Mathey and Erik Brown will place the listener's experience at the forefront.  Our dreams are big and so are the costs.  We are asking for your support to help us complete our construction in a timely fashion.
