Help Lafayette Parish teachers

We’ve heard it often from teachers across Acadiana. They need supplies for their classrooms.

It isn’t uncommon to hear of teachers spending $500 to $2,000 per year just to have what they feel they need to give their students the best lessons possible.

Last year, in about a week, The Daily Advertiser was able to garner donations to satisfy the more than 60 teachers who sent in requests for much-needed supplies. 

We've already had five times the requests for supplies this year from more than 300 Acadiana teachers. 

Now, we need your help to stock those classrooms. 

Submit your donations through July 24. 

The Advertiser will hold a celebration the following week to honor teachers with all the generosity Acadiana has to offer.
