Hi, my name is Joel Kunz.  The picture is of my son Justin and my grandson Drake.  Justin has been very ill over the past 6 years due to some, still undiagnosed, stomach or intestinal problem.  He has been rushed to the ER too many times to count and has been near death more then any hard working young man in his early 30's with a family should to be.  He has a good job at Best Buy and has been a member of their Geek Squad for over 10 years.  He is a good kid, husband and father.  He and his wife Nichole were high school sweethearts and have been together for 15 years and married for 9.

Justin's new doctors have been tellng us that the diagnosis and treatment he has received over the last 6 years has been wrong.  He has been in for a new batch of tests, some which had to be redone, but has had to wait for open test dates and his Doctor to return from vacation.  All this while he barely manages from day to day.  Justin has now been off of work for the last 11 months and they are in danger of losing thier home

HE NEEDS TO GET HELP and part of that is enough money to pay rent, pay his utilities, pay a lawyer to help him out of his financial troubles and have enough money to be able to finally see a specialist, which looks like is going to be at Mayo Clinic. Hopefully the new tests will confirm what the Doctors are looking for and then they will be able to refer him to Mayo for treatment.  I hope you can find it in your heart and pocketbook to help Justin get through this.  Prayers and shares are important as well.

My children mean the world to me.  They are the joy that  is a part of every day as I glance at the school pictures on my desk and collected crafts in my home.  You can potentially help to save my son Justin's life and help his all too insignificant little American dream gone bad family.  He is not famous or significant in any way other then as a son, brother, husband and father.   For your help I can offer my eternal gratitude and a personal poem written specifically for you, should you wish.

Please help Justin, Nichole & Drake

WOW, guess what, STILL no explanation other then 6 years of a misdiagnosis. He DOES NOT have Gastroparesis. So treatments, diets and all the ups and downs involved, including server near death moments, have all been ...well answer-less. Good news is that he is putting on some weight. Bad news is that we do not know what is wrong but we are on the right track, seeing specialists and seeking answers. He may have a portion of his intestines that needs removing, or is infected or?? HE NEEDS YOUR HELP! Both cars need fixing. Simple stuff that he has no money for. He is not working, money is limited and he still needs to see a financial expert who can help him navigate what this all has cost him and stop the garnishments. You see, the finance companies don't care if he is sick. He may have to spend time in Madison, or Milwaukee or even Mayo Clinic, and could ill afford to even get there. If he can hit this goal, it will be just enough to get him back on his feet. Please share this with your friends. Ask his friends. He is such a quality young man, father, husband, friend and son who has been given a hurdle in life that I hope and pray you can help him get through.

Hi, been awhile since the last update, so here is what is going on as far as I know today. Justin is back at work, feeling better but still having some trouble especially in the morning. The Doctors at AMC have finally said that they can't do anything for him any more and are referring him to UW Madison. THANK GOD, because there he can get some help. It is frustrating because it is what I asked them to do over a year ago but he would have never had as much support as he does now to get through this. Once again, we need your help. We got half way to our goal in a month and that got him on his feet. Thank you to all who donated, prayed or shared. Now we need to get him to Madison and that takes time off of work and to be able to have the funds for the related expenses of being there. Prayers, shares and donations so appreciated.

The operative word for the day is "TACOS". Justin was hungry for tacos today. Feeling better is the first step to finding answers. With your help Justin and Nichole have been able to pay the up front medical costs such as expensive medications plus keep their lights on and keep from getting evicted. I can't imagine if that would have happened, but thanks to so many, it didn't. At this point Nichole is back to work steady after almost losing her job and each and every nickle is helping them towards the goal of finding an answer. In his own words, "I don't want to feel like this ever again." I brought him some soup and ultra thin cut pork chops yesterday and got a hug from him that scared me, he is so thin. Then I got one from my grandson Drake and cried the whole way home remembering him saying "Oh Poppa, my Daddy's getting better, yea" Every prayer, share and donation greatly appreciated as always.
