Jeff needs a Leg to walk again

Many of you who know me, know Jeff. Jeff has been a good friend of mine since 1992. Many of you also know me as Joe Who from my various radio spots across the country. Jeff was my sidekick also known as "Mr. Know-it-all" when I was on "The LOOP" Radio in Chicago.
Jeff contacted a flesh eating bacteria while at a rehab center. He was airlifted to Loyola University Hospital. In 6 hours he went from a 2 inch blister to the entire left leg being eaten away. Doctors performed emergency surgery to save his leg by removing 80% of the skin. They then installed something called Woundvac on his upper & lower left leg in an effort to save Jeff's leg. They flooded his entire system though his jugular veins with various types of very strong antibiotics. Unfortunately, the leg below the knee did not survive and had to be amputated above the knee. Jeff's tenacity & will to live allowed him to survive this ordeal when less than 20% survive.
Jeff has a long way to recovery and needs more of our help and prayers. A prosthesis to help him walk again can cost upwards to $47,000. Jeff's only source of income is Medicaid. They will only allow enough to get a rudimentary prosthesis that will not allow flexibility. He will need one that allows him to bend at the knee and ankle.
Jeff has always been a very spiritual person. He will give anyone the shirt off his back. He has overcome may obstacles in life including multiple surgeries to save his eyesight from the diabetes.
We are posting this today, May 12th, Jeff's 57th birthday. Any help you can give no matter how small will be greatly appreciated.
Jeff is expected to make a full recovery return home where he belongs.
