Helping Hands supplies
Donation protected
Middle School students in a school located in Los Angeles, CA have started an extra-curricular project to make prostatic hands with a 3- printer to help people locally and all over the world. Northrop Grumman Engineers (Helping Hands) started the school off by donating a 3-D printer (personal donation by engineers) and have been coming over to the school to help get the students started with hand assembly and use of the 3-printer. We have submitted hands for approval to several donating organizations and are now getting “orders” for hands. Because the efforts are extra-curricular in nature, there are no funds to get the ABS, hardware and printer parts needed to fund our endeavors. Funds will be used to cover another printer and parts such as:

The school does not have a mechanism other than direct donations to collect funds. I will be using funds to cover this project only and or donating funds to school for the project. This will be tracked by receipts (easy enough). Although my school is a non-profit, I personally am not.
Your donations will be used to change lives. It is important for students to leave middle school knowing they can make a difference…they can change things or help people. 3-D printing hands for kids around the world not only involves STEM, it is also an excellent service leaning experience. In some instances, students will be able to get feedback on the devises they build. The impact will be life changing.
