Helping the Raders!

Hi guys! I need to ask everyone a favor for an amazing and wonderful woman and her family, Heidi Rader, her loving husband Steve and their five children.  Heidi has been in a battle for her life for a long time and survived so many things thru sheer strength of will and amazing faith in both herself, her wonderful husband, and her God. Thru over 25 years of separate yet increasingly hard battles they have fought as a family to keep Heidi here, shining her light on not just her family and friends but anyone that needed her. They have never once asked for help from anyone instead turning their shared will so that Heidi gets the chance to see all five of her children into adulthood. Steve has worked every kind of job to provide for his family often a far drive from their home every day. And while they are great, proud people who never ask for help instead try to be a solution to others problems, they have fallen into a situation that I am asking for them. Because of a 15-year battle with Lupus that has caused major nerve damage to her stomach causing a problem called gastroparesis. Heidi is for all accounts starving to death, loosing over 30 pounds in the last two months alone. And while they have the medical insurance to cover the majority of her costs, the cost of being pulled back and forth into the hospital every single week are mounting. Steve has had to take time off work to make sure Heidi could get to and from her surgeries and revolving hospital stays to keep her alive. They live over 45 minutes from the hospital so even the sheer amount of gas and vehicle costs are prohibiting. They still have to pay for their home and costs of others taking their kids to and from school, keeping their home and putting food in the house, and all the other costs of living. They are barely keeping their heads above water and now Heidi is facing a new piece to this medical nightmare, Hypokalemia or critically low potassium. While that doesn’t sound like much it is the thing that has pushed Heidi into the most critical life-threatening part of this journey.  Potassium is one of the most critically needed things to keep the heart working, so every three days Heidi is being sent into a literally heart wrenching spin and must have more injected into her to keep her heart working.  The amount of stress and hardship this is incredible and heartbreaking, so I am asking for some help to raise money to help them relieve some of the pressure and keep fighting the good fight. Please if you can spare even a small amount it will help an incredible family thru something few can imagine, and even if you can’t if you could please share this and keep the Rader family in your good thoughts.
