Helping the Horvaths

Donation protected
Well, not really sure where to begin but here it goes. On Monday Feb 5th my brother-in-law Shane Horvath took his own life. Shane was taken to Akron City and fought to live for 5 days with his family by his side every second but in the end the damage was just too great. I cant even begin to imagine what Shane was struggling with and I would give anything to have been able to talk to him before this.  Shane was Mr. Mom to his 2 children, McKenzie and Jasmine.  He did everything for them and we are so lost as where to even begin. Our family is devastated that we didn’t see his sadness in time and afraid for my sister and her 2 children’s future. Jasmin is 6 and has more questions than we can possibly answer, she is desperately trying to “find a way to heaven to see daddy”. McKenzie is 9 and shell shocked and we can already see her withdrawing into darkness. We feel truly helpless. Shane and Faith were best friends and  just moved into a new home less than 8 weeks ago and now Faith and the kids are in jeopardy of losing their home due to mounting medical and funeral costs. I’m asking for your help to keep my sister and nieces in their home and to help with upcoming expenses. As we all know funeral cost can be staggering and Faith does not have the financial resources to cover a funeral and the cost of a new home without Shane’s income. And quite frankly she has more important things to worry about. Please give what you can and know that we can never truly thank you and your donations mean more than you will ever know. Hug your kids tight tonight and say a pray for the Horvaths. Thank you.

P.S.  Our family would also like everyone to know that Shane’s last act was to donate his organs to help save others. Shane may be gone but he may end up saving multiple people’s lives and his spirit will live on in them and his children. Shane was always willing to help someone, even strangers, all the way till the end.
