Helping the beautiful children of the omo valley in ethiopia.
I've been in ethiopia for 6 months now... before being here, I've been travelling many countries all over the world.... and while I've never met any people stronger and more willing to improve their life, than the ethiopians, there's not a single day I haven't seen children suffering from hunger, walking around without shoes, having no resources to go to school,...
Since this country and her amazingly strong people have given me so much love, integrity, beauty, understanding, help,... I decided right from the start to do something back for them.
Until now I haven't gotten much further then giving some of the children a meal when I can or provide them with clothes from my backpack (which is now as good as empty), the occasional buy here and there, or clothes and shoes that tourists donate me to give to them...
So I would like to call out for anyone who can and is willing to help!
School isn't very expensive here, but the main problem is that these beautiful children have to spend their days looking for food instead of having their heads in books learning about the world and developing their future.
As you all well know it's very difficult to go to school and spend your time studdying and concentrating, when you can't cover your basic needs such as food, clothes and shelter.
These children are all very smart, bright and kind souls, who get misjudged to many times!
They are ready to fight for their future and I would like to help them create a beautiful one.
I came up with the plan to hire a mother... who is also in need and will also have an income by this way... to cook meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) for the children in need, in my town.
So they can finally spend their time being children, going to school, play with their friends, invest in their future... instead of looking for food, clothes or shelter.
I would also like to provide them with descent clothes and school materials.
I know this is a very small scale project and its not something you see on TV, which promises to help all the children of ethiopia....
But this comes from the heart... this comes from love.. and one day these children are gonna be amazing adults and I'm sure they're gonna be a positive contribution to their country and her beautiful people.
