Dewayne “Lee” Johnson is the humble, courageous hero who took on the agrochemical company, Monsanto, and won. Even though he has won, he has not received any money from Monsanto and sadly may not see any of it in his lifetime.
As many of you know from the widely publicized case, Lee was working as a school groundskeeper who used a product developed by Monsanto called Ranger Pro, a professional concentrated version of Roundup in his daily job duties. He was not informed of the cancer risks associated with this product whose main active ingredient is the herbicide Glyphosate. Glyphosate has been proven to cause cancer, specifically non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. In 2014, Lee was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma and is now suffering from late stages of this disease. Although he is in constant pain daily and his time is limited, he tenaciously presses on to raise awareness of the dangers associated with this toxic chemical to help protect others from the fate he is now suffering.
Without being able to work, he requires funds to help with his medical expenses, ` family living expenses, and legal fees. With our help, we can alleviate the financial stress they have been burdened with and help him preserve his energy to focus on being the voice to educate our world, while he is still here.
