Yesterday, on November 14th, our friend Regi Woodard was working at the bar Bar in Stratford when an armed robbery occurred. As we all heard on the news-an unindetified man demanded money which Regi handed over but the man still shot him in his abdomen. Regi is currently at the Bridgeport Hospital. We are still not sure about his prognosis but we are hopeful that he will get through this! We wanna get together and help our dear friend in his time of need! My name is Petra Peniastek and I’ve been friends with Regi for over a decade. He’s an incredible human being- great friend and a kind soul. I live in Bridgeport and wanna ask all of our friends from around here to pitch in and help. Medical bills will be extensive and we have to help his family deal with them. The donations would help him cover whatever expenses he has to deal with down the road- medical, therapy, living expenses while recovering and etc. He’s a well respected man and an amazing friend!!! So Fairfield County- please show up and land a hand. Friends, please share and let’s work on this. We need to help. Thank you! An account in Regi’s name was set up by Sean Woodard- Regi’s brother and his beneficiary-  and all of the proceeds  from this campaign will go straight to it. The withdrawal will be done on daily bases so that the funds can go directly to his account and can be used for whatever expenses Regi has while in recovery.  Thank you all!!

Our dear friend and brother Regi is resting and recovering well. He’s building his strength after enduring 5 successful surgeries over the past two weeks. He’s beginning physical therapy with the staff at Bridgeport Hospital who have been nothing short of amazing. We will be remembering them and will be thankful for their efforts for many, many years to come. For now, Regi needs rest and rehab. But rest assured, the day for a big celebration is in sight and we look forward to expressing our love and appreciation to all those who have prayed, donated money, delivered food and shared kind words. This journey was made possible by this strong and awesome community!! Sean W.

An update from Sean(Regi’s brother): “Today is an emotional day. Regi has made great progress. His love and will for life has been strengthened by the love and support he is getting from so many friends and supporters. He is moved beyond words. Regi is going in for a 3rd surgery this week. It is testing us all. We know the love we all have for him heals his body and strengthens his spirit. We ask for all of your love and prayers today, please. If you would like to take a moment and put Regi in your heart, we will be forever grateful. We are ALL in this together. Thank you!!
