Helping Our Boy Blu

Our boy Blu, a 5 month old German Shepherd, went missing yesterday the morning of June 6. I searched for hours. I called all of the shelters and vets in the surrounding areas. I posted on every page  I could on facebook. His story was shared hundreds of times with no luck. 

Today I came home from lunch to find Blu back in my backyard injured. I took him to Care Animal Hospital to find out the unsettling news that he had been shot. The bullet entered at his hip and went right through his femur breaking his leg. Even worse no one in this area can treat this type of injury. They found a vet in Carmel who can do the surgery which was estimated to be $3300-$5000 that would be due at time of service which is needed immediately. So thank you to whatever coward decided that it was necessary to shoot a happy playful puppy rather than simply calling animal control. It’s been a great time explaining to my 4 year old why he can’t play with his best friend.


I dont at all imagine that this will get anywhere close to the goal, and that’s fine cause any bit will help. However, if it does hit or surpass the costs of his care any additional funds will be dontated to ARF (Animal Rescue Fund) in Muncie.
