Hi let us introduce our selves our names are Sarah-Jane and Carly and we are volunteering to raise much needed goods for the less fortunate and homeless people of the sunshine coast.
After watching the latest program of filthy rich and homelessness our eyes are wide open and we are on a journey to help and try support our young youths , family’s and homeless people of the sunshine coast.
"There are around 1600 people on the Sunshine Coast experiencing homelessness today.
"Homelessness is largely invisible on the Sunshine Coast with many sleeping in cars, on the beach and couch surfing with friends - often with children in their care
"Homelessness affects all types of people from all different backgrounds but what people often don't understand is that homelessness is predominantly not a choice.
"In many cases, homelessness comes about through factors out of a person's control - whether this is mental or physical illness, financial instability, lack of education, domestic violence or something else entirely.
Every little donation helps even as small as $1 the community has been absolutely amazing so please lets not make this a one of, if u have a little that's ok because a little becomes a lot, we turn your donations into toiletry packs, food hampers and they get directly handed out amongst our community of the homeless and less fortunate.
Our community spreads from Caloundra - kawana -Maroochydore and Nambour as all these places are running by donations.
As a community it would be so great if we stand together for a great cause, supporting our forgotten community any little thing you can offer would be gratefully appreciated.
