Can't believe I'm doing this, but a few of you out there were very convincing about starting a Go Fund Me for Hula's medical bills so here I go.
Hula is my beautiful almost-14-year-old dog. She's the light of my life. On Sunday, she was viciously attacked by an aggressive dog, unprovoked. I saw the whole thing. It was so traumatizing. I know for sure if I hadn't hit the dog with the end of a leash and sent it running that Hula would've been killed. The dog's owners were horrible, took no responsibility and left the scene. I will never understand that part of it.
Hula sustained serious body bruising, and a terrible bite to her little backside...tore up her most sensitive, private parts. She had to have surgery and has 50 staples in her booty area. Since it happened on a Sunday, I had to go to the emergency vet clinic - which I thank Goddess for! They were awesome. Still, weekend ER prices are insane. I can afford to pay it back, but it will take me a long time since I am a single income household and the dog's owners will not be helping.
This amount is for half her medical bills. I don't think I could handle having friends pay for all of it...I have a hard time asking for help. Just writing this is making me sweat. So, if you have a few bucks to spare, I would be so, so grateful. Plus, you'll be building up your doggie karma and helping out one of the sweetest senior gals on the planet - Hula, not me...just to be clear! (Bad joke...sorry. Humor is hard right now.)
