Helping Hands For Haiti

I am going back to Haiti this week, and we need your help with an issue of immediate importance:

Access to clean water. 

We are going to establish long term and immediate outreach assistance to the people in Haiti. For the long term programs, we are meeting with contractors this week in Haiti to begin the first stages of building homes for people in need in areas affected by natural distaters and political sabotage .

For immediate assistance, we are taking boxes of portable water filters down to Haiti this week, that are ready to use and easily distributed. These type of water filters have been used in other countries where the water supply has been contaminated. 

Each filter will provide up to 1500 liters of safe drinking water from any source like creeks and streams whether clean or dirty.  The filters can be carried around by individuals, or they can be used in homes to purify the water supply for entire families.

We already have several boxes of the filters ready to go down to Haiti with us this week, and we need your assistance to get more water filters to the people there. And we are going to continue to send water filters, care packages, and other supplies on a regular basis to the people there in need.
