Helping Derald and His Road To Recovery

In the early morning of August 11th Derald Mathis was walking his baby boy Jasper when he was struck by a vehicle. The family has learned that Jasper was instantly killed and Derald is currently in ICU fighting as he sustained severe injuries. The doctors have a plan and his mother Patty is currently on her way to be with her son. What we know right now is that he will undergo immediate surgery with an estimated hospital stay of 4 weeks then an additional extended stay at a full rehabilitation center. We are asking for any financial help with Derald’s housing/rent expenses during this time. This will allow his mother, Patty, not only to have a place to stay while she is there with him, but also the peace of mind of knowing that they both have a home to come home too once he is complete with his in house rehabilitation stay. His mother thanks any and everyone in advance for any little bit that they can give.
