Helping a Terminally Ill Friend

The gentleman in the picture is a long time friend, a kind and generous soul that will be taken away from us in a matter of weeks or less. I spent many a long day digging for aquamarine with him talking, philosophising, and getting to know a person who became a very dear friend. Just a few weeks ago, he had a massive heart attack. He didn't want his name disclosed, but, he never said I couldn't use a picture of him doing what he loved. He was already on a fixed income before the latest heart attack and didn't have the greatest health insurance. With his health, went his significant other who graciously took the contents of his bank account with her.
He doesn't have that long and just wants to settle debts before he goes and to be able to spend his last days here without stress and worry about the financial impact of this unfortuante event upon himself and his parents. As if ones life isn't enough, the cost of a massive heart attack, hospital time, and all the medical bills related to it add up fast. I want to help him tie up loose ends before he goes and I am trying every avenue to help make that happen. The urgency of this is immediate.
