Alex gave up everything to move out of state to take care of a family member who had suffered severe injuries to both his brain and back while serving in Iraq. Since moving, he has decided to pursue his life long dream of becoming an aeronautical technician and a pilot.
Alex has surpassed many hardships in his life. He was raised in the slums of East Los Angeles, paid for his entire education, and opened the doors of opportunity through hard work and determination.
Alex is currently completly supporting himself, while going to school, working, and caring for his injured family member.
Between school and work, he doesn't have a day off in the week and gets little to no sleep, as he works overnight shifts, then goes straight to school. This has been going on for a year and he is exhausted and continues to struggle. If Alex is unable to get the funding, he won't be able to finish his education and achieve his dream. Help him fly!
