Help my Mum heal cancer

Donation protected
I feel like I am trapped inside a nightmare. Yesterday, we were given the gut-wrenching, sickeningly devastating news that my Mother has metastatic Endometrial Cancer, Stage 3c1. The tumour is growing at an advanced rate; as it is (medically speaking), they believe she has a case of months, not years to live. My 46 year old Mum, Ann-Marie, firmly believes otherwise. THE STORY SO FAR In Summer 2018, my Mum was referred to a consultant gynaecologist for worsening symptoms of a large uterine fibroid. The symptoms weren't screened and it was explained that they were just connected to the fibroid. An MRI scan was given, but nothing other than the fibroid was detected. On February 25th 2019, Mother had open abdominal surgery to remove the fibroid. During the surgery, an unexpected mass was detected and removed from her right ovary. Results showed that the mass was cancerous. At this moment in time, there were thought to be no other signs of cancer. On the 4th of April, she was given the first internal examination since her referral to the hospital. The consultant was shocked at the state of her cervix, and took biopsies on the spot. At the same time, Mum was informed that they had done further tests on the initial Ovarian mass, which showed the possibility of HNPCC - Lynch Syndrome. This is a mutant gene passed on through the family, indicating a high risk for bowel and uterine cancer for women, and bowel/prostate cancer for men. Two days later, on the 6th of April, Mum was hospitalised for the continuing infection, and during her stay, also haemorrhaged and lost a significant amount of blood. A week later, they gave her an MRI scan. Yesterday, we got the results which showed a tumour in the Uterus. We were then given the type of cancer and staging, before the horrifying sentence was imposed. From the scan completed, it was clear that the cancer has spread into other areas, including the pelvic lymph nodes, the cervix and parametrium. The ovarian mass previously removed was part of the same cancer.   GOING FORWARD Mum is a passionate ambassador of natural, holistic health, and has been for the last 26 years (ever since getting pregnant with me!). Along with always being conscientious of her fitness, she has a background of dance, personal training, nutrition, mindfulness, emotional coaching and massage (the list goes on!). Since receiving the initial diagnosis, she has determinedly altered her lifestyle even more-so, in attempts to create a non-hospitable environment for cancer cells. She has addressed her diet with the Budwig protocol , as well as adding other boosts such as zeolite, essiac tea, iodine, and medicinal mushroom complex. Evidently however, this is not enough. Surgery is not an option, as the tumour is too big to remove. Chemo would be the medically advised first step of action, in hopes to shrink the tumour to a safe size for removal, or merely to prolong life. Having chemotherapy is not something that my Mother is prepared to do. She is very much about quality of life over quantity. It is her journey, her body, her decisions, and they are to be respected. Mistletoe Therapy  is currently being clinically trialled for women with breast cancer. It is proven to have amazing results, and there are many incredible testimonials out there given by people diagnosed with months left to live as a result of various cancers, who have overcome it and are still alive and healthy several years later. The active substances in mistletoe extracts have anti-cancer properties and can directly affect cancer cells. Mistletoe Therapy aims to boost the immune system, improve quality of life, and prolong life expectancy. Unfortunately, there are currently no clinical trials on offer for Mistletoe Therapy in conjunction with Uterine cancer. This is something that we will have to fund ourselves. After all her research and reading, Mum has decided that this is probably the treatment for her, as essentially, its more realistically affordable - the clinic is in Aberdeen, Scotland. If money was no object however (what an ideal world that would be), the choice would be a different matter. It distresses me (to say the least), that money is a factor against us, when my Mother's life is very literally on the line. It's not a nice feeling, having to ask for help with money, but I am not prepared to lose my Mother, and we refuse to let that happen without putting up one hell of a fight. Cancer is SO scary. Fear is injected from all angles, leading people to feel trapped in their decision making. Our healthcare system, (as absolutely amazing as it is & as genuinely grateful as we are for it), pressures people into believing that THEIR options are the only way. Please help us to prove that this is not the case. Natural, nurturing paths can be taken, and they do work. So here is where I must ask for your help financially! On behalf of my Mother, our family, our friends, and our dog Bruno, I can say that any sized contribution will be HUGELY appreciated, with all the heartfelt thanks in the world. We currently only have guidelines as to how much this could cost overall, so my target goal is not fixed and is at the moment, still just a dream we can only pray to achieve. A breakdown of costs will be provided with time. Genuinely, any help towards financing any part of Mum's treatment will put us in a far better position than we are right now. We need a pool of money behind us so that my Mum's life decisions do not have to be so restricted.  Oxygen Therapy  is also something we are looking into and hoping to start.  We would also be extremely grateful for any relevant information shared, alternative therapies offered, fundraisers held, prayers sent out to the universe etc. Please, help my Mother to get the treatment she needs to heal!! * * * Just a few reasons why I love my Mother - written recently for Mother's day and shared now for anyone out there who has not yet had the pleasure of knowing her... "I love you for your undeniable strength. I love you for your ability to face everything head on. I love you for your bravery, even in the scariest of times! I love you for going against the norm and standing for what you believe in. I love you for your individuality and rebelliousness, your independence. I love you for your passion to learn and your eagerness to share knowledge. I love you for always placing a high value on your morals. I love you for the journey you have had throughout your life, and all of the work you've put into trying to be the best version of yourself possible. I love your fun, kooky, weirdness. I love your advice, your wisdom. I love your spirituality and how in tune you are with yourself. I love that you are passionate and that you care. I love your energy, your willpower, your rational thinking, your determination. I love your confidence, your fiestiness, your stubbornness. I love your creativity and all of your many talents. I love your joy and your enthusiasm. I love that you are real, down to earth, grounded. I love your consciousness. I love how much love you have to give. I love your hugs. I love your keenness for nature, your joy to be outside. I love your desire for goodness, for more peace. I love your curly hair (could've passed that on to me!), and also your crooked teeth (I got those instead though ). I love you for being beautiful in every way."
