Grandpa's Dream Come True

Thank you for taking a look!! As news anchors are wanting to pick up Grandpa's story, they are emailing and asking for a gofundme link.... so I decided I should probably go ahead and make one for those of you that wish to donate. I'm sorry this didn't even cross my mind. The plane tickets for Grandma and Grandpa have been donated (a HUGE blessing), The Price Is Right tickets didn't cost a penny, food donations are coming in, and the t-shirts have also been donated for the show. The contributions that are made on this page will go directly towards everything else that this trip entails ; any souvenir's that Grandpa wishes to have from The Price Is Right (pictures, dvd, etc.), extra food if need be, gas money, etc. My honest hope for this page is that we raise enough to provide other family members that want to join us with the funds for them to do so. We are so blessed and so very excited! Thank you so much!

Back Story
As many of you know by now Grandpa's life long dream of attending The Price Is Right has been granted, but what most of you may not know is the story of how it came to be. With Grandpa's chemo treatments and doctors visits in between, I try to send a little gift every now and then to add a smile to his day. As I was doing just that, I asked my mom for suggestions on a little gift and she sarcastically said, "Oh well you know his lifelong dream is to attend The Price Is Right." ( I picked him a pair of slippers...) But as I began thinking, something in me just said CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. I prayed, I discussed, and as I talked to others the excitement just built. With that being said, I decided to share my heart in letters, emails, phone calls. I honestly didn't expect anything from it, but God knew. Within a simple weeks time, 5 different JetBlue employees were contacting me, Grandpa's doctors were beyond helpful, and our family had an ongoing group conversation figuring out the details. This being Grandpa's dream, we wanted to make it huge so as his grandkids we put a video together announcing to him that his dream was coming true. We then decided to take it a step further and asked his pastor if he would put it on the big screen on Sunday morning and make a big announcement. Pastor Chuck was more than excited to do so and on January 8th the surprise was let loose. Grandpa still cannot believe it and we are more than excited to watch him live his dream. God is so good. He made everything fall into place. Everything just keeps getting better. Pray for Grandpa and Grandma as they fly to Los Angeles. Make sure to watch the video!
