Helping feed Venezuelan families

A while ago I was starting to notice the news about Venezuela. I reached out to families I knew from some time that I lived there. I ended up In a Facebook chat with a young mother. She confirmed that it was true, basics like milk, eggs and diapers were running out and medicine was almost non existent. She had only eaten one meal that day so her kids could eat.

I asked how I could help. She said don’t send anything it probably won’t make it, sending money might help a little but she couldn’t find enough food with the money she already had. I asked what could I do then, she said pray for us.

I sat there staring at my screen thinking how could this be. How could I be chatting with a young mother starving herself to feed her kids and not be able to help.

I kept contacting people trying to figure out how to help. I was fortunate enough to come across some kind people who could get food to families. I have been sending them down funds and they distribute basics: milk, eggs, diapers, etc... to these families and send me back videos of the families receiving the food which I’m happy to share.

If you can donate even $20, that is a month salary for a few families. All funds go to about 100+ different families.

I will have the funds sent to my personal account, I then send these funds to a few different families in Venezuela through Western Union. These families buy supplies and distribute to those in need.
