Douglas High School Beautification

Donation protected

Broward County Public Schools district is dealing with the unimaginable tragedy that unfolded on February 14th at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Going back to the same environment will be tough, but what would it mean to a student walking those same paths every day to have freshly painted walls instead of wiped down blood stained walls, fresh flowers and plants instead of dead grass, flowing water features, and murals that empower them, instead of images of who stood in that spot.

They should not have to relive the memories, but as they do go back, this is our effort to make it somewhat more peaceful for them by having the school painted, the walkways pressure cleaned, plants installed, water features and other calming memorials, and more.

We are raising donations to help with a campus wide beautification project to help students come back to a better and more improved school environment.

My name is Rohan Williams. I live in Parkland FL, and I am a parent of three kids, including a freshman, who were at school during this unimaginable event.

If you have friends or business owners who would be willing to donate monetarily to such an effort tag them and share.

Funds will be withdrawn on Monday March 5, 2018 and forwarded to Marjory Stoneman Douglas earmarked for this beautification project.

Funds will be spent on improving the aesthetic environment of the campus and includes but is not limited to cleaning, painting, installing water features, art, plants, upgrading bathrooms, hallways and walkways.
