Help Ziva get the therapy she needs
Donation protected
Sam and Jody have one of the most darling little girls I know. her name is Ziva. The road ahead for Ziva is going to be long and difficult. Ziva needs many therapies and affording them is proving to be impossible. Ziva was born with severe autism, she is mostly nonverbal and needs assistance with most tasks. It's terrible in my opinion but insurance doesn't cover very much with these types of therapies or if they do it's not near enough to make a difference.
There is a bright side, with a couple of the therapy treatments they were able to afford Ziva has shown tremendous strides. The speech therapy helped Ziva learn to do several very basic verbal tasks, she did great, but so much more is needed.
With occupational therapy Ziva is able to put on some of her cloths. However, the more complex tasks like potty training and showering and things of that nature will require much more therapy they just can't afford.
Jody, Ziva's mother has had two strokes and a heart attack. Jody's strength and mobility have suffered tremendously and she's no longer able to keep up with Ziva, the suggestion is to get a therapy dog which can keep Ziva from running away. These dog can also assist during seizures, Sensory overload, or when Ziva becomes emotionally overwhelmed. Having a therapy dog will increase Ziva's quality of life, Jody could go outside with her and not worry about her running away. Needless to say these dogs are expensive and need upkeep.
If we are able to meet or exceed our goal Ziva will be able to get all the necessary help she so desperately needs. Sam and Jody are such caring folks, I hope you can find it in your heart to help.
