Help with Travel Expenses to D.C.

Hello Everyone,

For those who don't know who I am, I live on the Fond Du Lac of Lake Superior Chippewa Reservation in Northern Minnesota and enrolled in the Red Lake Nation. I had attended Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College and served as Anishinaabe Student Council President for the past year. In that position I was able to lobby to Minnesota's Senators and Representatives to advocate for Tribal College and Universities, and attend Harvard Kennedy Public Policy and Leadership Conference. Along with being a college undergraduate student I make beadwork, using the skills that my ancestors past down, and adding my own perception of the traditional Ojibwe design. Anyway I wanted to reach out the community for some assistance.  I'm taking a temporary job out in Washington D.C. the month of July as a course assistant for the INSPIRE Pre-College Program. This job is more less of a dream of mine because I'm apart of INSPIRE's first cohort and I'm excited to see all the incoming youth. For myself this program was a start to my career in Politics, and having the opportunity to share my experiences with the youth will be beneficial to building our next leaders. I'm reaching out for help with moving costs like airfare, housing, transportation, and food until I can support myself. As a college student working a part-time job its difficult to save a sufficient amount of money to cover these costs. Miigwech (Thank You) for your time and generosity!
