Help with Felix's surgery expenses

Yesterday evening I got a desperate phone call from my sister telling me that our beloved cat Felix was at the vet in critical condition; he had come back home weak and covered in blood.
Our first initial thought was that he got involved in a fight with a dog or a fox, as many of them often wander around.
The vet told us that he needed surgery as soon as possible.
Around late in the morning, Felix was operated and we found out that Felix had been hit by a car, as there were no sign of bites.
The operation turned out to be much longer and complicated than expected as Felix's insides were completely messed up and they also discovered that his femur was broken.
Right now he successfully got out of the operation but he needs to be under supervision as he isn't out of danger.
The surgery cost is 1000 £ and the overnight stay at the special center is 250 £ .
We would never let Felix die as he is part of our family, but also we are not in the best financial state.
My parent not only have to pay for their rent, but also for my rent as I am a university student. We have also saved money just enough to pay for my second installment for my university tuition as it is due in less than three months. ( I cannot apply for a loan as you need to have lived in the UK for at least three years)
We would kindly ask you to help us pay for his surgery expenses, nothing less, nothing more, and in the case the fund raise goes beyond the goal, I will donate the remaining money to a charity.

Felix is the dorkiest cat, we had him since he was a small kitten and for 2 years and a half he had brought so much joy into our lives. He took us to so many adventures, from us freaking out while he was peacefully sleeping in the cupboard to almost losing him in France at the UK border. He especially helped my sister get trough a lot of harsh time, in particular since I moved out in September for Uni, he's been my sister's best friends.
We don't know what we would do without him; his younger sister, Koko, misses him already, so we hope he will get back soon home safe and sound.
