Bereavement Expenses

THE FAMILY AND PURPOSE:
Deanna and Marcos (the mom & dad) have been married for 12 years and have five children. They both work as stockers for Walmart and Food City respectively. Matthew has a massive, sensitive heart and lives for time with his younger siblings. Jaymz is headstrong and resilient. Anastasia is a tiny warrior and protective. Christopher is a grade a snuggler. He is happiest when curled up with a family member. (Jaymz and Chris also have special needs due to sensory issues.) Benjamin… well… as many of you know, Benjamin passed away on 27 June. It was a very unexpected tragedy and the family has been left reeling. He was their fun cuddlebug that loved food and Paw Patrol. His loss has left an unthinkable whole in their family.
Many have asked how they can help the family at this time so we have started a GoFundMe page. The truth is that what the family needs most right now is for Deanna to be home with the kids so she can focus on helping them as they grieve, adjust to a new normal, and prepare for the upcoming school year. Her heart also needs to be close to her kids as she copes with her own grief. Their hope is that Deanna can take the next three months (July, Aug., + Sep.) off of work to do that. Marcos plans to return to work quickly, but his job alone is not enough to support them. Now, you might be asking why this means they need $6,000. In order to be transparent with those who wish to help, we are listing the expenses that will still need to be covered each month.

WHAT IS NEEDED:
$1,200 To keep their health insurance active through Sept. (roughly $400 monthly)
$3,000 Basic bills such as mortgage and utilities. (roughly $1,000 monthly)
$900 Groceries and miscellaneous expenses including getting the kids ready for school in August. (roughly $300 monthly)
$5,100 3 month total
+$1,000 To off set fees from GoFundMe/taxes on what is donated.
$6,100 This is our goal.

This is how we came to our goal. Any money donated will be used as explained above and Deanna will stay with her kids as long as the donations allow her too. They are extremely grateful for any and all contributions.
