Help White Ash Special School
As some of you may have heard, my daughter's amazing special school was broken in to in the early hours of Monday morning. Laptops and iPads were stolen and the thieves caused considerable damage to the school.
These devices are used in so many ways to assist children like Lilly. They are used a communication aids for those who can't talk or who struggle to find the words they need. They are used for educational purposes as many children are unable to access the curriculum in a typical way and they are also used to calm children who are having a tough time. Without them, their lives are made so much more difficult. We need to raise funds to replace them as soon as possible.
There has been a considerable amount of damage caused, which needs repairing at a large cost to the school.
I know it is nearly Christmas and times are hard but if you could just spare a few pounds, you could really help the lives of Lilly and her friends. They have things incredibly difficult as it is and school and parents fundraise tirelessly to provide them with what they rightly deserve. To have this taken away has been heartbreaking.
Thank you for reading and thank you so much if you can manage to donate a few pounds.
Donations are still trickling in and we are so grateful for every penny!
Please continue to share and hopefully we can hit our new target before Christmas.
Thank you so much.
£2000 seemed unachievable only a few days ago yet here we are and the donations are still coming in!
Please carry on sharing.
And thank you all so much!!! xxx
Thanks to some very generous donations this evening, we have smashed it! The initial remedial works have been paid for now. It isn't enough to replace the iPads and laptops though so further donations are still needed and will be VERY gratefully received.
Thank you to everyone once again. You are all absolutely incredible. I've cried many happy tears at your generosity and amazing community spirit this week.
