Help Victoria study in the states

This is a story you don't want to miss and a person you will want to support.

Victoria is a mother, a social worker, a Ugandan and a world changer.

Victoria is currently an Aftercare Specialist at International Justice Mission (IJM) Uganda, an organization that transforms justice systems to combat violence against women and to protect widows from property grabbing.  She is a former project assistant for the Gender Justice Department at the Justice and Reconciliation Project, a Ugandan organization that works with war-affected communities. She is a member of the Women’s Advocacy Network (WAN), a forum where war-affected women come together to advocate for justice. She also played a significant role in organizing a petition for redress that resulted in the parliament of Uganda unanimously passing a resolution to remedy the plight of victims of Northern Uganda’s conflicts.

Victoria graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Development Studies at Kyambogo University in Kampala, where she studied Conflict-Resolution and Ethics, Community Initiatives and Gender Studies.

She has been asked to speak at Cambridge University, the Global Peace Forum, and BBC World News. She most recently shared her story to African members of parliament.

Victoria has now received a full ride scholarship to get her Master's in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Notre Dame! She is only responsible for  some of her living expenses, her return plane ticket, a mobile phone, and the school fees for her children as she will not be working while in school. When she graduates, she will return to Uganda to continue pursue the protection and restoration of those who are vulnerable in her community. I think it is clear that Victoria is changing culture and will continue to do so. Please help her to be better equipped and educated--imagine what she will do! If you are unable to give monetarily, prayers are also appreciated :)

Thank you!!!!

"What do I enjoy about my work? Working with the women. All along I had wanted to work with women and children, and now I’ve achieved what I wanted… I want to be a great woman. I would love for the experiences I went through to open doors for somebody who cannot speak for themselves. I want to use my experience to improve the lives of many people by talking to them and giving them courage. They’ll say, 'Victoria was this and now she is able to be this. What about me?' They can learn from that."
