Veronica and Her Husband Vince have been married for 3 years.  They were so excited to announce that they were expecting their first baby.  Little did they know that the baby may have saved her life…

After a recent routine pregnancy blood workup, it was discovered that Veronica has Leukemia.  Veronica and Vince were both shocked and devastated by this saddening news.  They drove to Stanford to get the best medical care possible for both Veronica and baby. She is currently undergoing Chemotherapy and is able to continue treatment with very low risk of harming the baby.

Veronica and Vince are both in the medical profession.  Unfortunately, due to the hospitalization and ongoing treatments, they are left with little to no funds to pay for their monthly obligations.

Please help Veronica and Vince by donating to this campaign.  Any little bit will help!!

At almost 27 weeks pregnant, Veronica was admitted at Lucille Packards children hospital after a worrisome routine ultrasound. Four days later, on January 24th, due to increased decelerations of her baby's pulse along with slow growth due to placental issues and the fact that Veronica had postponed chemo while admitted, it was decided by the oncologists and the high risk OBGYN team, Veronica would need to deliver via c-section. Autumn Annalise was born that afternoon with no major complications, but will remain in the NICU for continued care. Veronica recovered quickly from the C-section, but was admitted one week later to begin another intense chemo regiment that consisted of continuous 24/7 chemo through her PICC line (thus wearing a fanny pack to carry for a month). Veronica is currently transitioning from the hematology team to the Bone Marrow Transplant team. By the end of March, she will be admitted again for a stem cell transplant. From what we have been told, she will be at admitted at Stanford for a month post transplant. Afterwards, she will have to reside within 30 minutes from hospital for follow ups that willl be Monday through Friday. Stanford can provide lodging, but for a fee per day. The Abdon family would like to thank everyone for their emotional, physical, spiritual and financial support. They are asking for continued prayers and to continue to share their inspirational story. For more pictures of both Autumn and Veronica you can follow Veronica's husbands Instagram page @vmurse.
